To apply or not part II

Hey guys

 

I am 26 years old and have just finished my undergraduate BSc in Psychology. I studied part time because of various reasons, mainly having to work to support myself as well as volunteer, and then I developed a depression which hindered things a bit. Anyhow, the point is, I feel I went badly off track. I always wanted to go into medicine but now with a tumultous undergrad and a meagre 2.9 GPA, I'm not sure what to do. I'm considering upgrading to an Honours degree and boosting my GPA (will one year even do that?), however I still think the admissions committee will not favour the tumultousness of my studies. I am also considering a degree in Nursing, so I may use that degree in place of my psychology degree (with a better GPA), which will also be a nice fall-back in case I don't get into medicine. Finally, I am considering just another BSc, say human bio, starting from scratch so to speak.

Any suggestions, similar stories, or guidance is really appreciated.
