BonIver
Ive been searching the forums(specifically the UofA and UofC sections) and cant seem to find an answer to my question. Can anyone offer any helpful insight? I am in a program that is not related to bological sciences so I can't really get a research position in the summer. How badly will not having any research affect my application? Thanks!
Lactic Folly
All university faculties have a research component. But no, research is not critical if the rest of your application is strong.
SharkLvr
If you're interested in med/biomedical related research at the UofA have a look at this page: http://www.med.ualberta.ca/Home/Research/SummerStudents/jobs.cfm And Lactic's right, not having research won't hurt you if the rest of your application is strong. They look at the whole package!
