esus
GPA: 3.88 (McGill Scale) MCAT 39S - (12.4 score) In order to apply I would also have to take two biochem courses, so do you think my chances are good enough that I should take the courses (which I am not strongly against) and apply? Or is it not worth it? Also does anyone know how McGill's scale where A is 85+ would be converted to Manitoba's GPA?

Also, UMaitoba has a list of courses that count towards the biochem requirement and some of them aren't biochem courses. I believe BIO 200 and BIO 201 count towards the requirement. What program are you in? http://umanitoba.ca/faculties/medicine/admissions/info.html Click the biochem requirement and itll let you know. To be honest Bioc 311 is a pretty tough course but it's really good prep for med. I'd suggest taking it. Might be hard to get an A but A- is definitely doable. phear8
I got an interview at Manitoba this year with almost identical stats. I'm from McGill as well.
