axialpac Posted February 1, 2012 Report Share Posted February 1, 2012 I was curious, if I lived in a rural town in Manitoba with a population of ~1000 for one year when I was younger (attended grade six there) would the coefficient apply to me in some form or another? Outlaw Posted February 1, 2012 Report Share Posted February 1, 2012 I don't think you would get much of a rural coefficient (if any) for that. The logic behind the rural coefficient is that students who live(d) or work/volunteer in a rural setting will be more inclined to practice in a rural community. This is solely my speculation, but I don't think many applicants will come close to achieving a 13% coefficient. Most of them are probably in the 0-7% range. I'm not sure anybody really knows though.
