DoktaEvergreen
Typically how many interviews are doled out by McMaster medical school? I know there are roughly ~250 seats avaliable. Is it ~ 750?
sparxx
I think it's closer to 550 or so...
Tee88
http://fhs.mcmaster.ca/mdprog/documents/Classof2014.pdf those are the stats from last year, it's looking like 204 accepted of 547 interviewed... in retrospect let's say 50 people are accepted elsewhere.... that puts odds closer to 1 in
crazyflower
The letter from the package states 550 out of more than 4200 applicants this year!
friendlyghost
Thanks crazyflower! If I could jump on this train and ask a question for OOPs -- is there a 90%/10% IP/OOP split for seats, or was the geographic status only a factor in the interview? Best of luck guys
KMMD
Not sure how it works but there were 11 people not from Ontario in last year's class http://fhs.mcmaster.ca/mdprog/documents/Classof2014.pdf

I thought there were way less seats 37% chance excluding multiple acceptances is encouraging!

oldnewbie
There is no last time slot. Since it is MMI there is one group in the morning and one group for the afternoon.
Applemanv3
The geographical quotas only apply to invitations to interview, not for final admissions, as far as i know
