Vascular Surgery Scholarship Opportunities

Dear Medical Students,

 

The UofT Vascular Surgery Interest Group would like to notify you about some exciting scholarship opportunities that are coming up!

 

1) Society for Vascular Surgery Vascular Annual Meeting (Application Due: Feb 24)

 

This is a really exciting opportunity to go to the largest international vascular surgery conference in National Harbour (by Washington DC). Not only do you get funding to attend, you will get to participate in exclusive scholarship events including:

 

- Surgical simulation training where you learn how to do vascular anastomoses/EVARs/ultrasound guided access procedures and you're taught one-on-one with the top staff vascular surgeons/program directors in North America

- Information sessions on how to prepare for residency interviews, build a great CV, and plan for a surgical career

- Attend amazing dinners/wine&cheeses with your assigned vascular mentor

- Meet with medical students/general surgery residents/vascular residents from across North America

2) Canadian Society for Vascular Surgery National Student Award (Application Due: March 15)

 

Receive $2000 for conducting a vascular surgery research project in any area related to vascular surgery (basic science, clinical outcomes, ethics, education, etc.)
