I haven't heard anything from the 2 programs I applied to in Surg...is it still way too early, even though file review opened last wednesday? I have no idea how 2nd round works, Thanks! Yes NOSM and Saskatchewan are the only choices but I'm happy getting into either programs as long as I am doing Internal Medicine. Internal has been competitive this year and I was an idiot to apply to just 5 programs in the first iteration. I have just been offered Internal NOSM. So 4 interviews so far. Hey Blitz, which surgery programs did you apply to? I applied to all 3 general surgery positions. Haven't heard from any of them either. Have you? Yeah pretty nervous about it too. Chances are looking slimmer and slimmer as each day goes by. Seems like many programs have already sent out interview invitations. Is it fair to assume that programs that have lots of unfilled spots (Psych/IM/FM) will probably be going out this week because of higher numbers of applicants, whereas other programs with just 1 spot may not be in a rush due to fewer number of apps and therefore out next week?
