seeking1
The article: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/14/opinion/americas-health-worker-mismatch.html?_r=1&ref=opinion This article touches on a number of interesting aspects of the health care workforce in the USA, and several interesting phenomena around the workforce (i.e. credential creep, stealing other countries's health professionals, etc.). It also acts as an excellent reference to several studies from the Gates Foundation and the WHO about the healthcare workforce, and we all know those aspects mentioned in the studies tend to be poorly reported on. What do you all think about health care workforce reporting? Should health schools become more responsible for reporting cost-effectiveness data? Should the USA expand its health training programs for more workers? Should they stop getting workers from other countries? Is it even possible to get health schools to effectively communicate with employers about demand for health care workers?
