Guest DentGirl2004
Hi Everyone! I haven't been on in a while and I hope everyone is keeping well! I was just wondering how the reputation of Canadian schools in the West, i.e. UBC and U of A, fared with schools in the East, i.e. Western and McGill. Which school has the best rep? Also, in terms of specialists, does anyone know which of those schools has the higest number of specialists, and also if this kind of information is posted anywhere? Thanks! Guest LestatZinnie
u of t has the most specialties. in fact they have every specialty in dentistry. there is a list somewhere out there, maybe on the CDA site. in terms of reputation, mcgill and UT for sure beats the rest of the schools, especially if you want to go to the states for specialty training. given that there are so few specialty spots in canada, this may be important. reputation is sort of like 'brand name' though. it doesn't mean the school is the best. but as we all know, our society is obssessed with brand names so adding a good brand name to your DMD degree doesnt hurt imo.
