I need to see if I can get in contact with someone from the satellite campuses. I won't have time to take a tour before I have to rank my preference, haha. How hard is it to do research/observerships if all the faculty of a particularly speciality are in Hamilton? tsadesdespts Posted March 30, 2013 Report Share Posted March 30, 2013 There are very few specialties that are like that. Neurosurgery is the only one I can think of. You can still get them, you just have to drive a little. It isn't too bad. Traffic is usually really light so it can be done in about 40 minutes. friendlyghost Posted March 30, 2013 Report Share Posted March 30, 2013 I'm at the NRC and I agree; some highly specific tertiary care level specialties are only available in Hamilton. Most every other service is available in Niagara and, on the whole, the majority of doctors everywhere are extremely open to having students. The drive to Hamilton is quite often worth it, too.
