Which is closer to Hamilton

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know which campus is closer to Hamilton - Niagara or Waterloo?

Naigara is a big catchment area. Where specifically? The falls area or Niagara on the lake?

Some would even consider Welland and St. Kits to be in the niagara region.

That said, I'd say Waterloo

don't forget traffic influence- wait for a regional-er to respond maybe

Kitchener/Waterloo can have some pretty brutal traffic in spots - overall it's pretty good, but it's got a few rough chokepoints coming in and out of the city. Can't say too much about the Niagara region - I imagine it's slightly better since it's off of the busy Toronto-Detroit stretch and has more of a direct path to Hamilton.

Either way, it's going to be on the same basic scale, all things considered; not a huge difference either way.

I agree. Driving in from the NRC in quiet traffic can be as quick as 35-40 minutes, but the usual is about 45-55 minutes.

The difference between commute time would be 5-10 minutes max at either campus on any given day -- not enough of a difference or consistency to factor into campus selection inhm.
