Guest rez32
Hi everyone, I'm just starting to look into dentistry as a profession and was wondering what you guys all mean by having to do carving for your DAT... what is carving? and how do you practice for it on your own free time? Guest plugger
Carving is a section on the DAT. You are required to carve a specific pattern given to you in your test booklet into a piece of soapstone. Yes it does require practice to do well on it. I found the markers extremely tight assed when it came right down to it. Measurements must be accurate and you only have 30 min, well I only had about 20 because the dumbasses running the exam sent me to the wrong room. MORONS. Hope this helps. Practice and you'll do fine.
