MazzyMaz
Hey everyone! I'm having trouble finding places where I can take online courses from an Ontario university. I want to avoid the University of Waterloo (my school) and Athabasca is really expensive. I was just wondering what paths people are taking who are trying to increase their GPA so I can get the most bang for my buck! A lot of the summer session deadlines have passed but I'd like to take up to 5 courses in the Fall. Thanks in advance for your help

Thanks in advance for your help I'm taking my online upgrade courses through Ryerson's chang school, I have also taken courses through Guelph's office of open learning. Ryerson - http://ce-online.ryerson.ca/ce/calendar/default.aspx?id=5§ion=search Guelph - http://www.coles.uoguelph.ca/offerings/default.aspx?year=2013&type=all&semester=all&delivery=2&category=0&tba=no Always just check when the course runs because as we know we have to get them in before the winter semester if we want them to effect our GPA for next application round
BCOT
I am taking up to 4 courses at my hometown community college. (I moved home after I graduated-yay!) haha. Does anyone know if I can just take a bunch of 100 level classes and have that counted to boost my gpa?
SeaGal
Hi guys! I took several college level courses and Orpas definitely used them in calculating my gpa. I would take some varied courses though if for diversity. However gpa isn't necessarily everything. I was accepted at Queens with a cumulative 3.33 and sub of 3.58 . I think what matters most is having diverse experiences that are not always in healthcare but allow you to gain the skills you will use on a regular basis as an OT/PT . I was so happy to be accepted there because I feel their admission process will allow for great peer discussion! If you want to get into somewhere like UWO though I would say boost the gpa first. I also have a lot of life experience through travel and jobs and have been out of my undergraduate for 4 years so that may have helped my case. I hope this helps :-)

MariG
Hi guys, Is it a good idea to re-do pre-reqs that are outside of the last 60 credits? I got a bad mark on stats (but I did pass)..and I dont know re-take it or not..
MazzyMaz
I think you should contact the schools you are applying to. I'm not sure if it matters if it's in the last 60 credits, but I wouldn't want to re-take a course if I wasn't going to do exceedingly well in it since most schools look at the last 20 credits. That's definitely a good question though! :s
