Recommended Posts

Hi everyone. Looking for honest assessment of my application. I do not want to waste any more money and time then I have to.

Non-Traditional Student

Undergraduate GPA

Cul Gpa 3.52

Sci. Gpa 3.56

3.9 in last two years of undergraduate degree

Masters of Science from Cambridge University England

- one publication expected in 2014

- 4.0 GPA

MCAT - 36

13 - Biological

12 - Physical

11 - Verbal

Ton's of extracurricular, and activities, and jobs

Lot's of research experience

Well-Balanced, and well liked

Successful entrepreneur ($$$)

Over 500 hours between physician shadowing and volunteering at hospital

Realistic chances at low, mid or high tiers with my application? Input greatly appreciated from individuals who have interviewed, being accepted of in medical school currently.

Thanks,

Balux

I just found out that my stats are wrong.

I have a

CGpa of 3.32

SGpa of 3.25

with my 36 MCAT and 4.0 graduate degree. + my EC'S

Do I have any shot of getting in ?

Everything aside from your GPA is good, but that GPA will definitely hurt you.

As a Canadian applicant, you're expected to have better stats than US applicants, but your GPA is worse. You should apply to US schools ASAP if you want to get in. Seriously, you won't get in if you submit your application in July, so apply now. I would add DO schools as backup, but if you apply early, some MD schools might accept you.
