wpggal
Hi everyone, just had a quick question. Say you're interested in anesthesia, so you do 4-5 anes electives across Canada. During the carms process, could you use a reference letter from a doc at U of A (example elective school) along with local doc reference letters for your desired location? UManitoba, for example. Lactic Folly
Yes, you can assign any combination of letters you like to a program. Just follow the program-specific instructions, if any.

isix
One piece of advice given to me was that try to include reference letters from doctors that would be known to the program or at least, from that part of the country. For example, reference letters from a doc from Ontario isn't going to mean as much to UCal (unless the physician is nationally recognized) as a letter from UBC doc might, just because there is a greater likelihood that the physician from UBC might be known to UCal.
