cardiacPA
I was wondering what the job market is like in the Toronto area for Physician Assistants. I was also wondering if Canadian Physician assistants were able to work in surgical and ICU settings. I'm currently a cardiothoracic surgery physician assistant in NY and will be moving to Toronto in a few months. Any information would be appreciated. -Thank you

iamarealdoctor
PAs are not even currently regulated in Ontario. I would think hard before moving here for a PA job (if you can even get one with US license).
cardiacPA
I'm currently signed up to take the Canadian PA exam in October. I am moving to Toronto for family reasons. I heard that there are about 300 PAs in practice in Canada. It would seem that therefore most medical and surgical practices are not familiar with this profession.
