Roronoa
Hey guys, I will be applying to american schools next year. What do you think my chances are and what schools should I apply to? I am a Canadian applicant from Ontario. cGPA: 3.76 MCAT: 34 EC: standard hospital volunteering, research at school (volunteering & thesis project), clinical research volunteer at sick kids (6 months), volunteered with an occupational therapist (1.5 years), student health educator (1 year) at uni, international volunteering (medical), part of a few clubs at school, tutoring at my local community center for 3 years.... pretty standard stuff I guess. I'm also black and I know some schools such as Howard & Meharry favor black students, but I'm not american so I don't think I qualify.... should I still apply to these schools? Let me know what you guys think! thanks!

DoubleA
In regards to howard and meharry, even though they may not give you the benefit of affirmative action when they look at your scores, you'll still benefit from being a good fit for their programs. I think you should apply to them.
bpp
decent chance, make sure you apply early and get great reference letters. I'd suggest getting the letters well in advance!
