luckysharms
reading over their entrance requirements, only a years worth of courses, calc i/ii, gen bio/chem 1/2 2 semesters english etc but it says something about other 'pharmacy approved?' i guess i'd call them courses, like microbio/organic which if you take them get added into the prereq gpa as well how do those work? do they cancel out a course you have to take in pharmacy school when you get there or something? not sure why anybody would want to take organic when their goal would be a high as possible GPA. is there any benefits to taking such 2nd+ year courses? HarryPotter
yeah, i'm in my first year pharm there and so i don't have to do ochem or microbio. do it in sciences!
Tacrolimus
Wow, it's bizarre that Organic Chem II isn't required by UBC before Pharmacy. OP, don't be scared to take it. If I were you, I'd do it in my Science program, and have a lesser course load (I'm assuming?) in Pharmacy. I'm not very familiar with the UBC system, but I'd get as many courses done as I could in Sciences. I wish U of A did that.
sully22
also as a pharmacy student you will pay more to take these courses, it's cheaper to take them while you're in science
