Unfortunately I don't think there's an easy answer to this, because it really depends on your physical location and in what area you want to work. For example, if you're looking for work as a peds OT in the GTA, it may be harder to find than if you decide to go to a more rural location to work in geriatrics, or up north. your ability to find a job also will be a affected by your work ethic, just like anything else. If you're someone who works hard, makes good connections on fieldwork placements and does well, you'll probably get a job faster than someone who is lazy, a poor communicator and a weak team player.

 

I will add, though, that it seems across the board, with cuts to health care funding, it is difficult to get a full-time position as an OT.
