Starting residency this July and have two main questions as I plan to move. Would love to hear from others starting and from residents already there:

 

1. Any input on the streams? There are four main ones, plus the community sites. Have reviewed all, but the information isn't comprehensive. Leaving aside the larger hospital streams, not sure if it would be better to rank the Bruyere, Primrose, then various community, or go for one of the larger community family practice sites given my interests. Main interests are obstetrics, emergency and procedures. Not so keen on geriatric and pediatric medicine.

 

2. Does anyone know when orientation will be this year? And the ACLS course -- they say sometime in the last week of June, but completely nonspecific.
