Yes, your observation is correct that these fields are typically female-dominated. Why? I don't know. It is a great field with lots of clinical exposure and sometimes fantastic pay. Guest statementofclaim Posted February 5, 2003 Report Share Posted February 5, 2003 Tantastic When I entered OT school we had a class of 33 (1989). There were three of us guys. Over six years of teaching in OT undergrads, the largest number of male OT students I had was about 7 out of 46. One year I had two men out of a class of 46. There seemed to be more men in post professional graduate programs in OT, but they are still outnumbered. I'm not a physio, but there are more men in physio from my observations; but they are still pretty outnumbered. Later... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
