Percentages for file review (Maritime AND OOP apps)

Okay, so I was bored today and nothing interesting has shown up on the board in a while, so I started to work out the percentages of having my file reviewed this week, or next, or the next.

 

Of course, any statistical study has to assume some parameters that, in this case, the adcom may or may not follow, but here goes:

 

Assumptions:

 

-18 files reviewed per week, on a Monday

-250 Maritimes applicants interviewed

-OOP files reviewed in April

-No files reviewed on weeks with Monday stat Holidays (Easter Monday and Victoria Day)

 

Knowing the review started mid Feb, and they lost one week due to the snow storm, yesterday should have been the fifth review session. Chances of having your file reviewed any given week (if not done previously) are:

 

Mar 22 10.11%

Mar 29 11.25%

Apr 5 12.68%

Apr 12 Easter Monday

Apr 19 OOP 50%

Apr 26 OOP 100%

May 3 14.52%

May 10 16.98%

May 17 20.45%

May 24 Victoria Day

May 31 25.71% (also the day Ontario schools send out letters)

Jun 7 34.62%

Jun 14 52.94%

Jun 21 100%!!!

 

Jun 28 Deferrals and waitlist finalized
