i don't see anywhere on the application form that says whether to type or handwrite the one-page answers to the 3 questions...

 

I dont mean do we type directly onto the PDF form... i mean is it one-page typed per question or one-page handwritten...

 

who can I ask??

I am currently attempting to apply to Dal med. Now, I'm just wondering how much chance you think I would have in getting accepted based on these facts:

 

GPA- 4.2 cumulative

MCAT - 8/10/S/11

A good amount of extracurricular activities.

 

Additionally, I am wondering if there are better references than others? If you were accepted into Dal, what kind of references did you use?

The autobiographical essay is one that I am a little concerned about. It wants weaknesses as well as strengths, which is fine, but how would one go about finding a weakness that is real but not incriminating or crippling to my chances of being accepted?

If that turns out well, how are the interviews? I hear mixed things. One guy who got in said they were mean to him and even labelled him a "communist", while someone else who was also accepted said they were really nice and it was really short. What was it like for any of you? Should I prepare for an interview- I'm skeptical because then I would almost be performing rather than just being.

 

What are your thoughts on all this?

If anyone could give me there opinion on my chances of getting in to med at McGill, I would greatly appreciate it. Here are my stats:

 

-In-province student

-B.Sc. Physiology (I did it over 4 years) - CGPA 3.18

- Currently in 1st year B.Sc in Psychology

- MCAT: 15PS 13BS 11VR

 

Any help would be appreciated.
