STRIKE

Hi,

I'm a student at Dalhousie, and can answer your question. The medical school at Dal has not been affected by the strike because most professors there are not part of the Dalhousie Faculty Association - they are physicians. In any case, all administrative functions at dal are continuing normally and are not being affected.

In terms of the admissions committee, which is made up of the med school faculty, if they are still teaching, then they are probably still sorting out through people's applications.

This is just my two cents, but I thought it might be reasuring to know that the strike has not affected any of the professional programs at dal (except for lay, I think).

If you want more concrete answers, you might want to check out the meds website, or call the office (www.medicine.dal.ca/).
