Username not found
Hi guys. Over the course of my training, I had the chance to work with a renowned neuropsychiatrist in the U.S. and I was wondering what is the status of neuropsychiatry in Canada as of 2016. Information on this is scarce and much dated. So basically, in Canada, is neuropsychiatry considered as a "real" residency, or more like a specialty training like a fellowship? If the latter is correct, is it mostly aimed at psychiatrists, or at neurologists? Besides UofT which provides next to no information on the program, is there any other university that offers it? What are the job prospects/salary associated with it? Thanks!
NLengr
It is not a royal college recognized specialty. You probably would do it as an informal subspecialty of psych or neurology but I'm not exactly sure on that. One of the psych residents on the board can probably comment further.
