He graduated from UofT His 4th year GPA was: 3.98 (FALL) - 5 courses 4.0 (Winter) - 5 courses Summer (no courses) ->Finished degree Fall (2 courses part time at york to fullfill prerequisites) - 3.3 GPA How would this affect his wGPA? did he just kill his changes at UofT aswell? many thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Sincere Posted July 23, 2016 Report Share Posted July 23, 2016 No, it did not kill his chances. The grades of the part-time fall are NOT included in his WGPA. The way Ottawa U calculates WGPA: "The mark used at the various steps in the selection process is the weighted grade point average (WGPA), the calculation of which is calculated based on the applicants most recent three years of full-time undergraduate studies completed towards a bachelors degree in any recognized University. Marks obtained on supplementary courses taken outside the usual academic session or during a summer session will not be included in the WGPA calculation. Marks obtained in an academic year where a candidate has completed a semester (or full year) abroad as part of an exchange program will not be included in the WPGA calculation." (directly from their website) The the prereqs he took will be included in his prereq completition but not wGPA. I hope that answers your question!
