Guest UR1FOOLINS
Hi, sorry to throw two threads on in my first two days, but i have a very relevant question. Western says that after one earns an undergraduate degree, they can enroll in a full courseload of undergraduate courses as a "special" year, and only one year will be considered. But after speaking to them on the phone, they told me that if the special year required me to enroll in another degree, it would disqualify my previous degree from being counted in the GPA. They also said that only one "special" year is allowed. This seems to contradict itself. For most schools, you are not allowed to take a full courseload unless you're enrolled in a degree program, so once you graduate, the only option is another program. As a special student, you're not allowed to overload a max of 3 or 2 credits. So according to what i've been told, enrolling in a full courseload will disqualify your previous degree, and then enrolling in a second full year to meet western's two full years criteria will violate the "one special year" rule and disqualify you from admission. Did i simply get false information? Am i missing something here? How could i go about doing a special year, my school's giving me a really hard time as if they've never heard of it. After reading it, I found out if you take this program you can get your M.D. in 7 years instead of 8. I'm not really sure how that works, has anyone done this or know where I can find more info on Biochemical Engineering?
