oioi
Hey all, is standard first aid and CPR level C what I need to get for U of T? I'm planning on getting it before I travel soon.
arkragon
I believe that should fulfill the requirement. "Students registering in 1st year are required to obtain certification of satisfactory completion of (a) a Canadian Red Cross Society or St. John's Ambulance course in First Aid (or its equivalent) and (b) a CPR Basic Rescuer course before they may register in first year of the D.D.S. program." Standard first aid should fulfill part A and CPR-C should fulfill part B.
cleanup
From what i recall there's a chance to do this as part of O-Week or soon after school starts or something like that. There's no need to have it on your own before you actually start. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. But you might as well just wait and do it with your classmates. WomboCombo
@cleanup is correct. You can receive both certifications on the Saturday of the first week of school! Most of our class went to the single day course that day and it was held at school in the auditorium. Please note this is for ODA members so you would have needed to pay for your membership by then.
