Questionssss
Did anyone get in with a research based MSc and no publications? I just finished my BSc and I'm not sure if I should start the research-based MSc that I have been accepted into or defer my MSc and take a year off to apply again to medical school. The problem is that I won't have any publications or conference presentations after just a year of being in an MSc program (which I'll attempt to finish in 2 years), so in a pool of all grad students including PhD students, I think I may appear less competitive. I would appreciate any insight into whether an MSc would weaken my application. Side note: my undergrad GPA and ABS are fine (based on interviews that I have received in the past), just need to work on the MCAT.
