HeroX37
Hello! I looked around for this topic but couldn't find it addressed. I applied to Western medical school and I think with my stats I should be able to get me an interview. However, I wrote the old MCAT and it expires this year. If things don't work out, I think I'm going to change my career path to some other masters (either Math or Engineering or maybe health sci). However, I know that I would have to accept an offer to graduate school (likely March or April) before I find out from medical schools in May. If I accept an offer of admission to graduate school at Western, but later get accepted into medical school at Western, would I be in any trouble for withdrawing from the graduate school program? I wouldn't have paid any fees or anything. I know this may not bode well with some professors, but would it cause any issues? I could try talking to them beforehand too. Is there any communication between the admissions committees at Western graduate school & OMSAS / Schulich School of Medicine? Thanks for the help! However, out of professional courtesy I'd recommend you be upfront with your graduate school supervisor about your medical school intentions.
