Hoskins Announces Plan To Allow Rns Prescribe...

Ignoring the obvious disastrous implications of this policy idea, aren't nurses combined with diagnostic/treatment technology a serious threat to the physician job market? Once that technology is cheaper, an NP could perform physical exams/take a history + make use of the technology to come up with an accurate diagnosis + formulate a treatment plan. You certainly aren't eliminating doctors, just slicing up the job market demand.

On the flip side it could reduce the number of calls to residents about medication issues on the floor.
