2hopeful
I am just wondering what the maximum amount of OSAP a student can receive in a 4 year program, assuming they have high need (debt going into medical school, etc). Considering tuition is about 28k, my OSAP barely covers half.
robclem21
Between grants and loans, about half of your tuition is the maximum you will receive. I don't know if there is an actual OSAP-stated maximum, but between myself and all my classmates, it seems that around 14-16K is the norm (and we are all supporting ourselves financially). You may get more in your clerkship year since its a 3 semester year, I think we got around 20K. The rest of the tuition and rent and other spending is expected to be supported through a personal LOC. a7x
~25k of which ~ 15k was in grants, 3-year school though so first two years are assessed as in school for 12 months.
