how to calculate Western GPA Dental

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I was wondering if you could help me convert my GPA from my best 2 years at McMaster to a percentage for UWO dental? I have a 3.88 in my third year and 3.94 in my fourth year. I know there is a conversion chart on their website but it doesn't let me convert my average.

thank you so much in advance!

@honey97 - use the letter grade on your Mac transcript to find the mid-%age for the corresponding Western range. For example, an A+ would be 95% (halfway between 90 and 100). For a letter grade of A, I used 87% (halfway between 85 and 89). Hopefully that helps.

I referred to the OMSAS table - https://www.ouac.on.ca/guide/omsas-conversion-table/. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Isn't that the medical school scale though? Shouldn't there be a scale for dental schools or do they follow the same one?
