Guest windymountain2003
Does 2nd year end at the start of clerkship in March or in July? I am trying to figure out the dates for my student loan application. Thanks, WM
Guest Lorae
I asked Susan what the dates are for second year and she responded: August 1, 2005 - July 30, 2006. That's what I put on my loan application. So I guess we start clerkship as M2's and then grow into M3's around August
Guest Jerika81
Oh @#%$, you mean I'm still in 2nd year? I hope my patients don't find out I'm a fraud as I've been telling them I'm in 3rd year for a couple months now...
Guest Lorae
Lol... well I could be wrong, but those are the dates Susan gave me for loan purposes
Guest marbledust
I think what the U of C faculty of medicine and the student loan people consider "second year" is probably different. So ya don't got to feel like a "fraud" jerika81 Coincidentally, I had a rather heated argument with somebody from U of T in the chatroom over this very issue earlier this year. They didn't think U of C could really consider clerks to be third-years when clerkships starts only ~19 months after starting first year (it really was a rather pointless conversation, not sure why the U of T'er even cared). I wonder how Mac handles this issue?
