Chances of Getting into UofT

Recommended Posts

I'm a 2nd year undergrad at UWaterloo planning to apply in my 5th year (5 year program cause of co-op)

Current cGPA: 3.85 after 3 semesters

ECs: research with prof, clinic volunteering, misc. leadership stuff etc.

MCATS: not written yet

Really found myself in terms of study habits last semester. First year was a mix of 80s(3.7-3.9) and 90s(4.0) while my first half of second year was almost all 90s. I'm anticipating a continuing trend of improving grades in the next 2.5 years.

I'll have 4 years of full time study by the time I apply along with (hopefully) co-op research experience.

Things I'm worried about:

Not having a competitive enough GPA because of my lower marks in first year.  The status quo seems to be that you need a GPA of 3.95 - 4.0 to have a solid chance.

Any advice for ECs, when to write MCATs, tips on applying or roasting my GPA is appreciated. Thanks.
