On the site it said that preference was given to Queens students and that there's usually 7 spots for external applicants. Is it fair to assume that if one does FM at Queens that they are almost guaranteed to be accepted into the +1 EM year post FM residency? Guest jmh2005 Posted May 15, 2006 Report Share Posted May 15, 2006 Historically, they take their own and they don't hide that...UWO has 8 spots too, and they typically 'take their own' as well... Another reason why these two programs are especially appealing if you are very seriously considering the 3rd year in EM, also due to the large number of spots available (other Ontario schools have only 2-3 spots for EM)... I came to UWO FM specifically because I really liked their FM program, but I also loved the fact there are 8 spots available here and they tend to like their own residents!
