pass/fail option for courses: is it okay?

Recommended Posts

hi all!

i had a question about using the Pass/Fail (or CR/NCR) option for undergrad courses. is it looked down upon in one's application? for dentistry/dental school specifically! i know that Western allows a one full year or equivalent Pass/Fail course on your transcript. but does them allowing it mean that it's not frowned upon or affecting your application..?

i know a lot of universities, including my own, have implemented the Pass/Fail option for the academic term as a result of our current circumstances surrounding this pandemic. this allows students to not have mark affect there GPA or be shown on their transcript. instead, you can only see that the course was passed, or failed.

let me know if you know! i've also reached out to the admissions team, so i'm waiting for a response.

stay safe everyone!

I'm pretty sure they're reviewing all of that stuff for next cycle so I wouldn't worry! All of this is completely out of your control, but I know Western is reviewing that for next cycle (or at least that's what it says on the website)
