Guest Jess
Hi, I know that Western requires 3 non-science credits. I already have two social science credits. For my third non-science credit would, for example, a half-credit in classics and a half-credit in french be acceptable (both are humanities at my school)? Or do both half-credits have to be from the same discipline? Along the same lines, could the 2 half-credits be from the same discipline but from different years (i.e. a 2nd year classics half-credit plus a 3rd year classics half-credit)? Thanks for your help. Guest therealcrackers
If you multi-successful applicants have any questions, drop a line in my EZboard inbox. Most of the first years are out on discovery/rural week, but I like to procrastinate around my resp, endocrine, and immunology exams for the next week. Anything I can answer for you, I will. Guest Chieka
Just called home and found out I'm in at UWO! Congrats to my fellow "acceptees". I have to choose too, but I pretty well have my mind made up. C.

Guest Chieka
Peachy, I'm leaning HEAVILY towards U of T. So, I'll likely see you and Biochem (and others, of course) in September. C.
Guest UWOMED2005
Hey Chieka, if you don't mind me asking, what made you change your mind about UWO? You seemed so keen on us before your interviews. What changed your opinion?
Guest Chieka
UWOMED2005, I had a good time at Western. After my interview at UWO, I was sure that's where I wanted to be. But then I got to U of T and noticed the horror stories weren't true (or were no longer relevant;) ). Other interviewees made similar comments (check the "Renewed Faith" post in the U of T forum). Everyone was so nice (even the secretaries). Plus, the medstudents seemed really keen on ending the stereotypes. I went to several info sessions, and at each one, they always brought up "competition" even before one of the applicants asked about it. Lastly, I think it's time for a change. I did my undergrad at UWO, and as much as I like it, perhaps it's time to move on. The U of T campus is nice and Toronto is awesome (and exceptionally ethnically diverse - London can't boast of the same ). There are other factors too, but I don't want to write a dissertation on this. That said, I think UWO is a great school. The student life is really rich, the campus is gorgeous, and the quality of education is excellent. And who knows? I may just end up there. I still haven't decided where I'm going for sure, but unlike other posters, I guess I'm lucky in that I only have two schools to consider. :lol C.
