Prerequisites for Western

Hi!

Does anyone know what prerequisite courses are needed to apply to Western med school? Is physics needed?

You could always check www.ouac.on.ca/omsas for all kinds of great information that's, y'know, official and stuff, but in this case I'm going to ruin the surprise.

 

Prerequisites for Western:

Three years of undergraduate education (you may be in your third year at the time of application) in which you complete:

 

1 credit (year) Biology

1 credit Organic Chemistry

1 credit Science NOT from either departments of Biology or Chemistry (as I read it, that's Physics, but I hear computer science counts too)

 

3 credits non-science courses, of which one must be English if you don't have OAC1 English, and one must be a second-year course

 

But don't just take it from me.
