are we given HB/2 pencil on real carving?

In the real carving exam, are we given HB/2 pencil? If so, how long is the pencil?

 

I just want to make sure that I am practicing with the correct pencil on my own . Thanks so much !!

Yes, you are given an HB pencil at the exam. It's a regular length pencil that has likely only been sharpened once. I know because I forgot my pencil case at home when I wrote the DAT....man, that was not good for my nerves I found the pencil wasn't as sharp as the one's I had been practicing with, so I would recommend bringing your own pencil to the exam. i whipped out my own mechanical lead pencil and was sitting in front row...they didn't mind at all

 

u could always put it away if they tell u itz not allowed...not like they would kick u out for trying to use it :]
