any tips on carving square and triangle notch end?

Hello guys,

 

As I am practicing carving, I notcie square and triangle notch end are the hardest to carve perfectly, mainly because the edeges would curve down in middle or bulge up on the end.

IF you know good tips on carving a square and triangle end, please let me know, thanks!

Well to get straight surfaces you want to make sure you are approaching the surface with the knife from many angles, not sure one. So carve in one direction, then the opposite, then diagonal and so on..that way you should get a more even plane.
