Guest slysniper
All right, it is time to get those letters going. I need 3 letters for each shool Im applying to; UBC, UoS, McGill. So, here is a combination of referees I have. Which combination of referees is the best: 3 Profs 2 Profs +1 Lab TA 2 Profs +1 Manager (Work) 1 Prof +1 Lab TA+ 1 Manager Thanks, . Guest johnwoo19
It's hard to judge considering we don't know who knows you better/worse. For example your lab TA may know you a lot better than one of your profs, so can't say that the combo "3 profs" is better than "2 Profs + 1 lab TA". I would just say go with your gut instinct to determine who would write you a solid reference letter and base your choice on that. It's great that you have so many referees to choose from. Guest Lactic Folly
Have you talked to each of them about applying.. has anyone volunteered to write a letter for you upfront? Who seems the most enthusiastic?
Guest slysniper
The reason I gave different combos is because I have heard that some dental schools give more value to letters written by profs and dentists. (In a ideal world, it shouldnt matter, but lets face it, there is prejudice everywhere). I know you might say it depends to the school, but is such a thing true?
