Should I buy new or can I buy used craving package?

Do I need to buy it new from the DAT website or is the used one as good as new?

Well, is there going to be any soap left with a used DAT prep kit? It only comes with six pieces to begin with. Its not like you can re-use the soap. You can always buy more soap from the CDA I guess.

 

A used kit would work ok, as long as you realize that the blades you get may be a little dull, and if it comes with any soap, the soap becomes more brittle as it gets older.

 

Don't waste your money on a IQ Publications carving kit. Their soap is @#%$ and their tools stink.
