Publication opportunity in ophthalmology

Recommended Posts

Hey there! My name is Dr. Wu, and I'm a resident-physician in ophthalmology. Our research team is currently recruiting students for three publication opportunities in the coming months. These publications will be review papers on the fascinating topic of ocular pharmacology and ophthalmic surgery.

All our publication opportunities are invite-only, which means that we were directly invited by the editors of the journals to write the articles, making publication almost guaranteed. Check out some of our recent works since 2023:

Our articles are mainly fundamental science-oriented, with a focus on pharmacology and drug delivery systems. As such, those with a background in fundamental science are more than welcome to apply. But we're also open to receiving students from various backgrounds. In fact, we're specifically looking for three categories of students:

Category A: Students currently undertaking or have already obtained a Master's or PhD degree, with past research experience in pharmacology, vision science, or other fundamental science fields.

Category B: Students who have previous experience (or who are interested in) making scientific illustrations and figures, using software such as BioRender.

Category C: Students with limited research experience but have experience in referencing using Zotero and formatting research papers using Microsoft Word.

Here are the selection criteria:

Previous experience working with our team (as co-author or contributor)

Some knowledge of the topic, which will be given along with required reading materials a few days prior to the interview (Category A)

Ability to perform a comprehensive literature review (Category A)

Good English writing skills (Category A)

Meticulousness and attention to detail (Category C)

Availability to work on the article in April and May (Category A, B, and C)

Application deadline: March 16th at 11:59pm EST.

To streamline the application process, please follow these steps:

    • Email your 1-page CV to wuyangkevin1@hotmail.com, with the following information: academic background, past peer-reviewed publications and research projects. Please omit any other details.
    • For Category B applicant, please include a few illustrations previously made by you.
    • Please make the title of your email either “Category A”, “Category B” or “Category C”, according to your category.

The deadline for applications is March 16th. Selected candidates will be contacted for an interview after this date. Please note that we will not be able to answer any questions or replies prior to March 16th.

Thank you for considering this opportunity, and we look forward to collaborating with you!
