Interviews in Ontario distribution

I'm curious to know out of the people who applied to most Ontario schools, how many got multiple interviews. If all schools interview ~450-500 students and many of those students have 2+ interviews, does that mean that because of the overlap of students at different schools, you'll likely get in at least somewhere?

I was hoping to start an informal survey - if you've gotten an interview at U of T could you post if you got other inteviews and where? I can start:

Interviews at: Queen's, Western, U of T

Rejected from: McMaster

Didn't apply: Ottawa, NOSM

Thanks to all those that reply to satisfy my neurotic curiousity!

Hey try...

There will definately be some overlap. I guess that is what the waitlists are all about! Here is an overview of my luck thus far:

Interviews: UWO, Ottawa, Queens

Rejected: Mac (boo hiss)

Didn't Apply: NOSM

Still Waiting: UofT

Hope this helps with your curiosity!:D

it was my understanding they deal with the overlap by offering more offers than the class size on the initial day of offering...

that is pretty standard practice...I am on the admissions panel for my college at UofT and we always offer more admissions scholarships than we have $ for, just because we look at past year numbers and make an estimate with a slight conservative bias...

so in a past year (not sure which) UofT had to make 298 offers to fill the 204 spots, so i would guess ~270 would have been up front?

Thanks to those who have posted so far! It's comforting to know that your odds are likely higher than the acceptance:interview ratio at each school.

To those still waiting on U of T, hopefully that means they're taking their time to review your whole application so they can really get a sense of what fabulous people you are. Good luck!!

and treehuggin' asked for stats so here are mine...

cGPA: 3.68

UToronto wGPA: 3.83

as for my stats:

cGPA: 3.83

best two years: above 3.90 (can't remember exactly)

MCAT (PS10, BS13, VR12 and WS O)

I am SWOMEN that is why I was able to get an interview at Western

And I don't qualify for the UofT GPA cause before I was thinking of medicine I took one .25 course DE in the summer (rather sad cause I only did that for something to do in the summer...not cause I couldn't hack it) :\
