I am a 4th year medical student at UBC offering advice on UBC's MMI. I mentored a handful of students throughout medical school who all ended up being accepted in the same year or the year after but now that I have a bit more time on my hands I am offering my advice to those who are interested. As someone who was on the interview committee in previous years, and who has been through several MMI's I've had experience going through the interviews myself on both sides of the table and working with others who were completely new to the process. Although I am unable to disclose any of the specifics of what is evaluated as per my NDA I am able to provide guidance based on the responses that I've seen and which answers I've rated as strong vs weak. Important disclaimer that I cannot speak on behalf of other school's evaluation criteria and I cannot guarantee results as at the end of the day there are numerous people who look at your file and interview performance but I can do my best to work with you and identify areas of weakness to support you.
