Perhaps next time you conduct such a poll it would be helpful to differentiate between 3 and 4 year degrees; I'm sure that there are many people who will be obtaining BAs or BSCs but who are entering after 3 years.

Hello all,

For the respondant that answered "no bachelor's degree"... how did you get the requirements to apply?

 

While I've been around 2 "career" blocks in my life: teaching in Japan for 4 years and management for the last 4, I've done this without a degree. I am currently about to embark on a 3 yr BSc to get the goods with which to apply to med school in 2005, I'd be interested to know if there is a way to get the basic science courses and attempt to dive in from there. Most programs I've seen state a 15 course or 3yr degree equivalent.

Some programs will accept students with 2 or 3 years of university (eg Alberta, Calgary, Sask) in the context of a 4 year degree.

Students in quebec do a 2 yr CEGEP where they complete the necessary pre-req's -- hence no bachelors.
