<pagetext>There is an interesting study in this week's JAMA on the "socioeconomic status, service patters, and perceptions of care among survivors of acute MI in Canada."

 

I don't have access to the online text, but I do have a copy of the article, and basically their conclusions were:

 

Compared with those with lower incomes or less education, upper middle class Canadians gain preferential access to services within the publicly funded health care system, yet remain more likely to favor supplemental coverage or direct purchase of services.

 

So this begs the question: is this fair? Is this anything new? Is this what we've been expecting all along?
