Physician Job Action in Nainaimo

Just wondering what you guys think of the ER docs withdrawing their services at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. With contract talks coming up, is this a ploy to leverage more pay? Is the Liberal government right in taking such a hard stance?

The thought of "greedy doctors" holding the public hostage for more pay is disheartening as I always thought of medicine as a very noble profession. However, my knowledge is limited, so hopefully the doctors, med students here can share their insights.
