Here's an article by the AAMC (Association of American Medical Colleges) which explores the consequences of student debt on future career plans. They've interviewed both a pediatrician and an academic medicine researcher, both of whom are owing 6-figure debts (in US dollars no less!). At the end of the article is a thinly disguised advert for the AAMC's own MEDLOAN Debt Management Program...
